About Portishead Cruising Club
Portishead Cruising Club operates 13 drying trot moorings on the River Avon for club members.
The club allocates its 13 usable mud moorings at the start of the sailing season in March. Boats settle in a mud wallow at low water.
Mooring holders must be club members for at least six months, and boats are normally limited to 9.2 metres for safe access. Members apply for moorings and contribute points through mooring maintenance or club work.
