About Higher Poynton L1 Leisure

A 260 metre leisure mooring site on the Macclesfield Canal towpath at Higher Poynton, with space for up to 19 vessels.

The Canal & River Trust describes this as a leisure site for storing boats between trips. Overnight stays and occasional longer visits are welcome, but it is not intended for residential use.

The site has mooring rings and no facilities block or gated access. Access is beside Nelson Pit car park; CRT facilities are at Marple, approximately four miles away.
