About Blackwater Meadow Marina
An ABC Leisure Group marina on the Llangollen Canal on the edge of Ellesmere in Shropshire, offering permanent and temporary moorings, hire boats and a boatyard.
The marina is about half a mile along Birch Road from Ellesmere town centre, on the stretch of the Llangollen Canal that leads west towards Chirk and the Pontcysyllte Aqueduct.
On site are a dry dock, a painting shed, a workshop and a slipway, with diesel, pump-out, Calor gas, Elsan, water, recycling, a chandlery, parking and shoreline electric points. Holiday boats, day boats and holiday apartments are also run from the site.
Moorings are let by the foot, either monthly or at a discounted annual rate paid in advance. Electricity is through an approved metered cable or prepayment cards. Moorers paying annually or by direct debit get 10% off other ABC purchases.
