About Western Road L1
A linear off-side mooring site on the South Stratford Canal between Western Road Bridge and Birmingham Road Lock.
Western Road L1 is a Canal & River Trust leisure mooring site in Stratford-upon-Avon. The linear site is approximately 215 metres long and has space for up to 11 vessels.
The site has a shared water point, elsan disposal, refuse disposal, nearby unregulated and unsecured parking, and gated access for key holders. Overnight stays and occasional longer visits are permitted, but the site is not suitable for full-time residential use.
Mooring permits are sold for one year. The Trust may cancel an agreement with four months' notice because the adjacent area is due for redevelopment and access rights may be lost.
