The site is approximately 170 metres long, with boats moored against the off-side bank beside St Peter's Church.
It is for leisure use and is not suitable for full-time residential use. There is no parking at the site; the nearest water tap is at Stowe Hill, and elsan and rubbish disposal are at Buckby Top Lock.
