About Snaygill Boats
A family-run hire base and boatyard by bridge 182A on the Leeds & Liverpool Canal south of Skipton, with moorings for 40 narrowboats and two dry docks.
Snaygill Boats has operated from its yard near Bradley, about a mile south of Skipton, since 1977. Alongside its hire fleet it runs a working boatyard that builds and maintains narrowboats.
The yard has moorings for 40 narrowboats with water and electric hook-ups, Elsan and rubbish disposal, and locked car parks on site. Diesel, Calor gas and pump-out are usually available on weekdays, and on more days in the main season.
There are two dry docks, one of them an enclosed widebeam dock, which owners can hire or book for work by the yard's engineers. Mooring prices are not published on the website.
