About Shipton Bridge Towpath L1 Leisure

A Canal & River Trust leisure mooring on the Oxford Canal beside Shipton Bridge, with space for up to two boats.

The towpath site is 40 metres long and lies opposite Shipton-on-Cherwell church, about 20 metres south of Bridge 220.

Access is on foot over Bridge 220. There is no designated car parking or facilities block; water, toilets, rubbish bins and elsan disposal are available at Thrupp about 600 metres away.

The mooring is for leisure boat storage between uses and is not suitable for long-term residential use.
