About Pendle L1 Leisure

A leisure mooring site on the Lancaster Canal north of Preston, with space for up to 20 vessels moored against the towpath.

Pendle is a rural Lancaster Canal mooring site approximately three miles north of Cottam. Mooring rings are installed, though pins may be needed depending on boat length and ring spacing.

The Trust says the site is for storing boats between leisure use and is not intended for long term residential use. Drinking water is listed as a site facility; vehicle access and parking require arrangement with the adjacent landowner and incur an additional charge.

Berths

  • Kinds: linear mooring
