Chichester Harbour Conservancy maintains moorings at Nutbourne. Access from dinghy chains at Prinsted Point is available about three hours either side of high water; access from Thornham Marina is available about two hours either side of high water.
The Conservancy lists shallow-draft class 2 moorings over 9 metres at the north eastern end of the channel, suitable for multihulls. Moorings are maintained on a four-year rolling programme.
