About Lymington Harbour Moorings
Annual river moorings and pontoon berths on the Lymington River let by the harbour commissioners to local residents, plus month-by-month long-term visitor berths open to anyone.
Lymington Harbour Commissioners run the moorings on the Lymington River between the town and the Solent, from the harbour office on Bath Road. Resident licences cover dredged fore-and-aft moorings and mid-river pontoons below the railway bridge, tidally restricted swinging moorings above the bridge and in Harpers Lake, Pylewell Lake and on the east bank, and walk-ashore berths on the Fortuna, Harbour Master and Dan Bran pontoons.
Annual resident moorings are for boats up to 10.5m (the price list runs to 15m) and are offered only to people living permanently on the mainland within seven miles of St Thomas Church, Lymington. The harbour gives waiting times of three months to more than 20 years depending on the boat and mooring.
Boat owners who don't qualify can take long-term visitor moorings, let a month at a time subject to availability and priced per metre with separate summer and winter rates.
