About Fowey Harbour Moorings
The harbour commissioners' resident mooring scheme on the Fowey estuary, covering around 1,500 swinging, trot and pontoon moorings let by annual licence from a waiting list.
Fowey Harbour Commissioners look after about 1,500 resident moorings between Fowey, Polruan and the upper river, alongside visitor moorings and shore-linked pontoons at Albert Quay, Berrill's Yard and Polruan.
Annual charges are built from harbour dues and a mooring licence, plus a rental for a commissioners' swinging mooring, trot mooring or pontoon berth, all charged per metre of overall length rounded up to the next half metre. Owners with their own private mooring pay dues and licence only.
Permanent moorings are allocated from a waiting list, with a registration fee to join; people on the list can apply for temporary or sub-let moorings on an annual basis. Winter and summer boat storage is offered at Penmarlam, Brazen Island and North Street Yard.
